Using a Circuit Playground Express, I created a couple different small projects like fireworks and such because with the circular shape of the Circuit Playground Express, I was able to do different colors and effects with it, most fireworks I've seen are somewhat circular so when I first saw the Circuit Playground I thought of fireworks.

During this process, I learned sometimes there are problems with technology like downloading a code to the Circuit Playground or coming up with ideas for certain projects a future technology person may have to do. You have certain things and qualities a project must have and the circuit playground was circular so whatever you created had to most likely be circular.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor because I used an online website to create a project and I planned out what I was going to do and how I was going to do it. I used previous experience with a similar project which was Micro Bit, Micro Bit was similar to Circuit Playground as it was the same materials and such, just instead of a 5x5 square, it was a circle. There were probably more things to create in Micro Bit because it was an easier shape but with Circuit Playground you are able to have more programming options once you learn how to use it and come up with an idea for a project design.

A challenge I overcame on this project was coming up with project designs and ideas. I was able to do it by looking at some design images that other people had created. I also did random dot placements on the Circuit Playground until it reminded me of something or an idea of something I could create like the smile face. 

Given a chance to do this again, I would change how much time I spent of projects and the designs I did. The reason why I would change it is because I didn't really try to think of something creative or if I did, I didn't put much effort into trying to make it. If a problem occurred, I didn't really try to fix it and I gave up really easily. 

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to Computer Programming because we had an object such as the Circuit Playground that created a design for and then downloading it to the device such as the Circuit Playground. If there was a problem with the design then we just simply re-designed it and then downloaded it back to the device like the Circuit Playground. 

My project connects to careers in Mobile App Developer because they design and code softwares for mobile devices like phones and tablets. Mobile app developers also preform frequent tests on an app that is going to or is published to ensure there is no difficulties and if there is, they fix them.
