8P5 - 3d Print Project 2

Using TinkerCad and a 3d printer, I created a 3d printed fidget toy. I created this because I thought it would be a hard but challenging thing to make. I also created this because I wanted to make a toy to play with.

During this process, I learned how to use the 3d printer. I also learned how to use TinkerCad. I also learned how to make more detailed things in TinkerCad.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because I uploaded my video to my website so the world can see it.

A challenge I overcame on this project was the 3d printer running out of filament. I was able to do it by getting more filament. I was also able to do it by asking Mr. Renner for help

Given a chance to do this again, I would change how many pieces I put on it. The reason why I would change it is because the toy seems really long and boring. I would also change how bland it is. The reason why I would change it is because it looks boring and doesn't have any texture.

My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in toy making.
