8P1 - Video Project

Using iMovie, my iPad, and the internet, I created a video about the things I like. I created this project because I wanted to create an edited video about me. I also created this project so I could try editing and making my own video.

During this process, I learned how to create, edit, and voiceover a video about myself using iMovie. I also learned how to edit different sounds and pictures into a video. During this process I also learned how to get my video from my iPad to me computer.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker because I had a problem with uploading my project to my computer, and then I found out how to fix my problem. I also had a problem with getting pictures of myself from my phone to my iPad, all I had to do was email the picture to myself. My project also ties to Global Collaborator because I uploaded my video to my website so the world can see it.

A challenge I overcame on this project was getting my video into my website. I was able to do it by uploading the video into a file in Google Drive on the iPad, and then I went onto the computer and uploaded the video onto the site using Google Drive. Another challenge I overcame was getting a picture of myself from my phone to my iPad, I overcame this problem by emailing the picture of myself to myself.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change how loud the voice over is. The reason why I would change it is because when I am talking you can only kind of hear me. I would also change the obnoxious amount of sounds.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multi Media CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in movie editing.
