7P7 - Augmented Reality

Using CoSpaces and a merge cube, I created The Fast and the Curious, because I thought it would be interesting to create. The Fast and the curious is based on The Fast and the Furious. The merge cube was not that interesting to create because all it could do was show a world.

During this process, I learned that the merge cube is super laggy and that it is annoying to work with in CoSpaces. It is annoying to work with because there are multiple sides of the cube. The merge cube is super laggy because it keeps turning normal and then to the world.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker because I had to solve multiple problems like getting the design to fit on the cube. I also had to figure out how to move the merge cube around in CoSpaces.

A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to figure out how to move the merge cube around in CoSpaces . I was able to do it by unlocking the merge cube, moving it up, and the I could move it around. I also overcame a challenge was fitting the design on to the cube. I was able to do it by attaching all of the objects on to the merge cube.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of effort I put into the design . The reason why I would change it is because there isn't much texture in the world that I made. I would also change the title of the project to Speed and the Mad.

My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in designing AR video games.
