Using robots and an iPad, I created different codes that will make robots do different tricks because I wanted to learn about how different robots and how they work. The robots could do different tricks like flinging a Lego wheel, blowing up like a bomb, and changing different colors. I made the catapult out of Legos.
During this process, I learned that robots are hard and easy to work with. When we were working with the dash's code we didn't know how to make the code happen at the same time. Some of the robots wouldn't connect to the iPad.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker because I overcame problems in the process. The problems I overcame were not making the code right and not being able to connect to the robot.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not making the code right and not being able to connect to the robot.. I was able to do it by getting help from Henry. I connected to the Dash by using a different iPad.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of time I had to do this. The reason why I would change it is because I would have enough time to do all of the projects. I would also change the design we used for the catapult.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Tecnical Education CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in designing the code for robots that preform surgery.

Day 2: I made the Sphero Mini make a square.
Day 3: We made the Dash move around.
Day 4: I made a bomb and a heart with the bolt
Day: 5 I tried to make a Lego Dash Catapult with Henry
Day 6: We worked on the Catapult
Day 7: Henry and I worked on the iRobot and coded "DJT" Donald Trump's initials.
Day 8: Henry and I made the video on picture for the iRobot
Day 9: I worked on making the Pirates of the Caribbean song on the iRobot
