8P1-Video

I used iMovie, Google, an iPad, and a PC to create a video. The video is about the things that have changed about me over time. I made it to show how I have grown and changed as a person. 

During this process, I learned how to use iMovie much better. It helped me understand new tools and features. Now I know different ways to make my videos look more interesting and professional. 

The seven standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project connects to the Empowered Learner standard. I made my own decisions about how the project would look and what pictures to include. 

A challenge I overcame in this project was exporting my video incorrectly. I clicked the wrong option and had to redo it. I fixed the problem by thinking it through and choosing the correct export option the second time. 

If I had the chance to do this project again, I would change the order I worked on it. The way I did it the first time made things more difficult for me. Changing the order would help the project go more smoothly and save time. 

Hastings High School's Career and Technical Education Program offers a variety of courses, including Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, and more. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia program at Hastings High School. This is because I worked on creating a video, which is a key part of the Digital Multimedia CTE program. 

My project connects to careers in video editing because I made and created my own video. This experience gave me a hands-on understanding of what video editors do. It helped me develop skills that are important in this career field, like using editing software and arranging footage.
