7P6 - VR

Reflection

• Using CoSpaces on the PC, I created a VR boat tour of the Everglades because I thought it would be a fun to make. I thought I could make it more detailed because I could add a lot of scenery. Also it was just something that interested me and it was something that I wanted to make.

• During this process, I learned how to make a VR world. I learned how to code an animal to run across to the other side while making it look somewhat realistic. Also I learned how to make it so you stay in the boat while it moves and you don't fall out.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to  Computational Thinker because when I was trying to code the deer to run across to the next island it didn't work out the way I wanted it to the first time. I kept trying and using the things I know to solve the small problems until I eventually fixed the whole thing and it did what I wanted it to.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was choosing what to do for my VR. I was able to do it by looking over my list of 10 good ideas and thinking which one really caught my interest the most. I also thought about which one that could be a little bit more challenging then the rest.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change how far the boat goes. The reason why I would change it is because I think it could be a little bit longer. Also I would add more animals and make them move around more.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in 3D Artist, Content Producer, and Software Engineer.
