Planning Questions
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I'm working by myself.
What materials will you need for your project?
PC, a Merge Block, and a iPad.
What is your plan to create in this project?
My plan is to make a story on the merge cube where I watch my friends' horse for a couple hours but then someone steals her. Then I have to find her and get her back before my friend comes home.
What unique qualities will your project have?
I will make my own story and their will be some of my interests in it.
I wrote down my list of 10 good ideas and planning questions. I also started thinking about what I should do for my story on my Augmented Reality.
I began doing my Augmented Reality and I finished scene 1 and 2.
I started doing scene 3 on Augmented Reality.
I finished scene 3 and scene 4. I also put more photos on my portfolio.
I finished scene 5 and scene 6 in Cospaces and added more pictures to my log.
I recorded my project on the Merge Block and worked on my log.
Today I edited my video of my Augmented Reality on iMovie and did my reflections. I finished my project.
Reflection
Using a PC and a Merge Block, I created a story about a missing horse because I wanted to make something with animals. Also I thought it would be more fun to make than all the other projects that I was thinking of. I also thought it would be easier to make up the scenes of the story but I could still challenge myself.
During this process, I learned what Augmented Reality was. I learned how to turn the Merge Block when I was editing it in Cospaces so that way I have 6 scenes instead of 5. I learned how to build an Augmented Reality that tells a story.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker because when I tried to make one of my scenes and it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to, I kept trying different things until I fixed it. I also narrowed down solutions and ideas of how to fix it and it turned out better than what I was expecting.
A challenge I overcame on this project was choosing what story to do. I was able to do it by listing a couple of ideas and narrowing it down to the ones that I liked and interested me. I chose the one that I thought I could have fun making but still challenge myself.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change my story. The reason why I would change it is because I would try to challenge myself a little bit more. Also I would change the story line to make it more interesting and exciting.
