I'm working with Makaila H
We need farbric needle and scissors
Our project is unique because not many people have used this technology in our class room yet.
This is our finished project
This is us threading the needle
Using a Janome Embroidery Machine, Makaila and I created baby burp cloths. We did this because I have a new baby cousin on the way. Makaila just got another baby cousin so we felt like it would be nice for us to make our aunts something personalized for their new babies.
During this process, I learned how to use an embroidery machine and how to thread a needle and thread the bobbin .
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovate designer. I think this because we had to create something using the technology in Mr. Renners class room Makaila and I created something useful but also, personalized.
A challenge I overcame on this project was Makaila and I didn't know how to thread the bobbin or thread the needle. I was able to do it by asking Mr. Renner for help and looking up videos on youtube and trying out many diffrent ways to see if we do it right or not basically trial and error .
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the material we used I wouldn't use such soft material and we need to make sure we taunt the fabric more.. The reason why I would change it is because with such thick fabric we had to go over the design more than once to get it to be able to see it .
