Planning Questions
I'm working with Makaila H
we will use tinkercad
an Ipad and a 3D printer
This is a picture of Makaila and I
Using tinkercad and a 3D printer, we created 3D printer friendship hearts with an A for Abbie and an M for Makaila. We did this because we wanted to use a tool that we haven't used in a while. We also, wanted to make something that would mean something to both of us.
During this process, I learned how to use tinkercadand. How to size objects and make them stay in place. I also, learned how to figure out how to print using a 3D printer.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collabortor because we had to work together create something using a new program and a new tool to us. We also, had to figure out how to use the new program.
A challenge I overcame on this project was when we were trying to make the hearts we couldn't figure out how to make the two objects lock in place together. We also, didn't know if our project would be to big or to small. I was able to do it by messing around with the size and the sizer tools we also, had to play around with it and ask some questions to figure out how to lock them toether.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size. We think they are still a little big we would also use to diffrent colors.. The reason why I would change it is because its still to big to put on a bracelet and we wish that you could see the M and the A so we would have to use to diffrent printing colors not just one.
