Using the Future Ready Librarians Framework as a guide, the Hortonville Area School District Library Media Specialist, after collaborating with educators and district leaders has created a Library Plan as required by the Wisconsin Administrative PI 8.01 (2)(h). The Library Media Center Plan will be a dynamic three year working plan.

Hortonville Area School District Libraries will do this by:

creating and maintaining an inviting, comprehensive learning center. Which in its media collection, technology, physical design, flexible access, and staff competency and attitude, actively helps students, staff, and community to access the information.  The objective of the media center is to develop information, reading and technology literacy with a collection of materials that will enrich and support the curriculum and meet the needs of the students and faculty served.  The library collection will be built to meet individual learning needs, abilities and learning styles; to provide materials to supplement classroom instruction; and to collect a broad range of materials on controversial issues to help support students develop critical analytical skills.
