Cultivates Community Partnerships
Cultivates partnerships within the school and local community (including families and caregivers, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, public and higher education libraries, businesses) to promote engagement and a community of readers.
Current Practices:
Parents, grandparents and community members for volunteer reading at the elementary level
Book Fairs in elementary and middle schools
Support from Lioness each year through funding requests
Promote and support local authorsÂ
Bring in volunteers to help shelve books, assists with inventory and other areas of need
Possible Areas for Growth:
Work with local experts on STEAM implementation throughout the school library media centers
Identify additional community partners and support to enhance our offerings
Work on additional volunteers for our middle and high school library media centers
Expand community partnership with the Lioness for volunteer hours in the library media centers.
