Data and Privacy

Current Practices:

• We ensure student checkout, circulation, and fine procedures preserve student privacy and are equitable 

• Students scan ID number into Destiny so they do not have to verbalize number at checkout

• Follow federal privacy laws to keep checkouts confidential if students are 16 and over

• Follow District Policy - 2416 Student Privacy and Parental Access to Information

Possible Areas for Growth:

• Provide support and training for Digital Citizenship lessons in K-4

• Provide more teacher training on digital citizenship so they can model it for their students.
