Learning Intention: Students will learn about the many different plants and animals native to Alberta and Canada.
Students chose an environment found in Alberta and illustrated it in their Visual Journals. They then added the different plants and animals found in that environment.

Who better to learn about sharing equally than Cookie Monster and Elmo!
This week, students were introduced to the term partition. We practised folding shapes to make a half. Students made a delicious "pizza" and had to share 1/2.
Students were given a package of Fruit Snacks (partition a set) that had to be shared fairly between them and their partner. Liam and Hannah had an uneven amount - they were unable to share fairly and decided to partition the extra one to make it fair.
