Learning Intention: Students will be able to describe the direction, pathway, and speed of objects or animals. 

Learners worked collaboratively to brainstorm and record way that objects and animals move.

GRUFFALO WALK

Learning Intention: Students will be able to describe ways animals move along different pathways. 

Learners took on the roleS of the animal characters in our mentor text, The Grufffalo, as they sped, slithered, flew, and fled through the deep dark forest.

Learning Intention: Students will conduct an investigation to observe and describe the direction, pathway, and speed of their toy. 

Learners brought in a toy that moved to conduct an investigation. They observed and described how their toy moved.

LITERACY - GRUFFALO MURAL

Learning Intention: Students will create an imaginative representation of The Gruffalo that include characters, setting, and events.

Learners created a mural that included the setting, characters, and events in our mentor text, The Gruffalo.

ROLL, READ & POP!

Learning Intention: Students will read two consonant sounds in the beginning of words.

Learners played a game of Roll, Read & Pop to practise reading words that begin with a consonant blend.

NUMERACY

Learning Intention: Students will count within 67, forward by 1s.

Learners played a game of Race to 67 to mark our 67th day of school. It was a day filled with 6-7!
