Time & Place: Constructed & Natural Landmarks

Learning Intention: Students will be able to distinguish between natural features and constructed landmarks.

Students cut and pasted images of natural features and constructed landmarks under the correct headiing.

LITERACY

Learning Intention: Students will write two consonant letters that represent one sound at the beginning and ending of words. They will Identify short vowel sounds in words and identify the letters that represent them.

Students used pop its to stretch out the sounds in words. 

Learning Intention: Students will learn, and share. information that is real (non-fiction) to encourage thinking and build knowledge.

Students have been working hard in their Visual Journals to showcase their learning about the Polar Bear. Students will use this information to write a non-fiction report on the Polar Bear.

NUMERACY

Learning Intention: Learners will identify the missing number based on patterns.

SCOOT (Missing numbers on a number line) is a fun way to explore number patterns.

Learning Intention: Learners will represent quantities, using numerals, objects, and pictures.

Students rolled a 2-digit number and represented it by drawing pictures of base ten blocks. They also spun the wheel and represented the 2-digit number using base ten blocks.
