Yoga is a great way to start your day. Whether you are a morning person or not, the practice of yoga can make your day a success. You will start your day with a positive feeling and you will be filled with a new energy that will make you able to face any challenges during the day. It doesn’t take long and you can do it almost anywhere, even if you are a beginner.
It was developed as a practice to unite the mind and body. There are many branches of yoga. All yoga styles can help balance your body, mind, and spirit, but they achieve it in various ways. No matter which type you choose, yoga is a great way to stretch and strengthen your body, focus your mind, and relax your spirit.
An everyday gentle yoga practice will fuel the metabolic system and will help burn fat, leading to weight loss. Daily yoga can also help restore the hormonal balance in your body, which can normalize your body weight.

You know your body best. However, as a general rule of thumb, a healthy practice for vinyasa yoga is usually around 3-5 times a week. This gives you adequate time for rest. Rest is crucial to recover, get stronger and maintain your health.
DO'S
Yoga includes cleanliness of surroundings, body and mind.
Asanas should be practiced on an empty stomach.
Bladder and bowels should be empty before starting Yogic practices.
Practice sessions should start with a prayer or an invocation as it creates a conducive environment to relax the mind.
Yogic practices shall be performed slowly, in a relaxed manner.
DONT'S
Yoga should not be performed in a state of exhaustion, illness, in a hurry or in an acute stress conditions.
Women should refrain from regular yoga practice especially asanas during their menses. Relaxation techniques and pranayama can be done instead.
Don’t perform yoga immediately after meals. Wait until 2 to 3 hours after a large meal.
Don’t shower or drink water or eat food for 30 minutes after doing yoga.
During illness, surgeries, or any sprains or fractures, one should refrain from

Yoga is a beautiful physical, mental, and spiritual practice that is adopted in India. It is related to making a healthy body and a healthy mind. People all over the world are moving toward practising yoga to have a healthy life. It relaxes and calms the soul and mind. International Yoga Day was celebrated in our school to raise awareness about the benefits of Yoga in daily life and help bring balance between body, soul and mind. Teachers and students uploaded videos of their participating in yoga abhyas and meditation.
