DL DAV Model School Pitampura celebrated FIT INDIA WEEK from 29th Nov to 2nd Dec 2019, under the aegis of CBSE. Principal Mrs Anita Wadehra unrolled the scroll to declare the FIT INDIA WEEK open and motivated the children emphasizing the importance of sports in a child's life. The program began with the March Past by students of class 4 and 5 from Cambridge wing coupled with some stirring marching music by the Bagpiper Band. Principal Ma'am took the salute of the impressive March Past of the students.
For class XI the March Past and Hurdle Relay Races were held for five Houses of the school namely Modesty, Dignity, Freedom, Enterprise and Courage. It started with Intra House Heats and the best team from each House then competed in Inter-House Hurdle Relay Race. The Modesty House Team was the winner, followed by Enterprise House as the first runner up and Freedom House as the second runner up. The sports event drew an overwhelming response of students who participated with full zeal and zest. Principal Mrs Anita Wadehra congratulated the faculty and the students for showcasing a combination of creativity, sportsmanship and excitement. The Sports activities began with enthusiasm and ended amongst celebration and laughter
We feel happy to share that we have been awarded FIT INDIA SCHOOL FLAG by Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports for promoting physical activities and sports in the regular school curriculum.
