A balanced diet is a diet that contains differing kinds of foods in certain quantities and proportions so that the requirement for calories, proteins, minerals, vitamins and alternative nutrients is adequate and a small provision is reserved for additional nutrients to endure the short length of leanness.

Sleep is important because it gives our bodies an opportunity to unwind which is critical to our well-being. At times people fail to sleep at night because of stomach upsets. Eating a balanced diet will help you in managing some of the conditions that might make you not sleep better.
One of the advantages of eating a balanced diet is that it helps in protecting the heart. many people in the world today suffer from various cardiovascular diseases. different lifestyle choices cause diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, and stroke. eating a balanced diet will lower the cholesterol that you consume and thus ensure that your heart remains healthy
When eating a balanced diet, essential nutrients will produce and help maintain key germ-fighting cells in the immune system and greatly improve vascular function.
The food we eat has a tremendous impact the energy we have throughout the day. Nutrient-dense foods will digest and therefore be released into the system over a longer period of time.
How much food do I need to have a healthy diet?
A healthy diet should provide us with the right amount of energy (calories or kilojoules), from foods and drinks to maintain energy balance. Energy balance is where the calories taken in from the diet are equal to the calories used by the body. We need these calories to carry out everyday tasks such as walking and moving about, but also for all the functions of the body, we may not even think about. Processes like breathing, pumping blood around the body and thinking also require calories.
Each meal should be broken down as follows: 300 to 400 calories for breakfast, and 500 to 700 calories each for lunch and dinner.

Our bodies follow a rhythm - 24-hour cycle that tells our bodies when to sleep, wake, eat and we digest foods poorly when eating at irregular times (e.g., sleeping during the day and eating at night).
