Mental Disorder is a condition that affects your mental health. It causes changes in your way of thinking, mood, feelings and behaviour. It signifies psychological or behavioural manifestations that are associated with either a painful or distressing symptom or an impairment in one or more important areas of functioning.

Types of Mental Disorder
Personality disorder- People who struggle with personality disorders aren’t able to cope with people. They develop a narrow mind and can’t deal with social activities. Genes and childhood experiences can be a cause of personality disorders
Eating disorders- It is a very serious mental disorder. It changes your eating cycle. You may eat more or less than the normal amount. This causes an excessive or scarce amount of nutrients in your body. This may even lead to death. But there are treatments for this mental disorder.
Phobia- A phobia is an anxiety disorder. It plants fear of something with little or no danger.
There are many types of phobias.
Psychotic disorders- These are also severe mental disorders. It may cause hallucination and delusions. Delusions are false beliefs as if someone is plotting against you or TV is giving you secret messages. Hallucinations are false perceptions such as hearing, seeing or feeling something that is not there.

1.Around 1 in 5 world's children and adolescents have a mental disorder
2. About half of the mental disorder begins before the age of 14
3.Even very young children may show early warning signs of mental health concerns. These mental health problems are often clinically diagnosable and can be a product of the interaction of biological, psychological, and social factors.
4.Many factors can lead to mental illness including genetics physical illness or injury
5.Treatment for mental health problems varies depending on the individual and could include medication, therapy, or both. Many individuals work with a support system during the healing and recovery process.

Treatment of Mental Disorders
There are majorly two treatments:
Somatic-include drugs, electroconvulsive therapy, and other therapies that stimulate the brain.
Psychotherapeutic- include psychotherapy (individual, group, or family and marital), behaviour therapy techniques (such as relaxation training or exposure therapy), and hypnotherapy.

SYMPTOMS OF MENTAL DISORDERS
Symptoms of disorders may vary based on the specific disorder, some disorders can also cause physical symptoms. Disorders can severely affect emotional thoughts, behaviour and health. They may include anxiety, social withdrawal, changes in eating patterns, mood swings and more and physical symptoms may include weight or appetite changes, sleeping issues, fatigue and the like.
