SLUG-2023 

Men's team of the University of Peradeniya Hockey team emerged champions at the recently held Sri Lanka University Games- Hockey Championships-2023 worked off at the University Hockey field, University of Peradeniya. 

11 state universities participated for the Sri Lanka University Games- Hockey Championship-2023 and worked off from 25th to 28th August, 2023 at the University of Peradeniya.

At the Quarter Finals University of Peradeniya beat the University of Colombo for 2:0.   and at the Semi-finals they beat the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka for 4:0.

At the finals, Peradeniya met the University of Kelaniya. There was a heavy battle for the champions trophy and both teams scored one each and went to the penalty strocks.  However, at the penalty strocks Peradeniya won by 3:1
