Research and Writing
This course will prepare you to research successfully across the curriculum, and to present your ideas powerfully. You will develop your skills in skimming, scanning, taking notes, paraphrasing and research.. You will present your ideas, and be supported to write concisely and convincingly.
This week we will be deciding on the context or topic that we will be using to learn skills needed for skimming, scanning and note taking. We will also investigate what skimming and scanning means and use our context to practice these skills

This week we will be revisiting the skills we learnt last week on Skimming and Scanning. Using the key words from a question to find the answer we need. We will also be learning how to take notes- this will help us to paraphrase.
