Your reading exam
We have been using a past exam (paper copy in class) to practice and prepare- both reading skills and exam skills.
Check out further information below to help you prepare for your exam,
1- Take your time. The exam is set up for 1 hour, but you can take as long as you want.
2- Look for the key words in the question- highlight.
3- There is usually ONE/TWO obvious wrong answers- eliminate straight away.
4- There is usually TWO possible correct answers- look for extra clues in the question and text to help you pick the BEST and CORRECT answer.

3- Skimming- look at the title, images, punctuation- what clues are there for the overall meaning of the text?
4- Check out the source information- what clues does it give you about PURPOSE and AUDIENCE?
5- Scan for key words when you are reading- highlight these so it's easier to go back to.
