Kia Ora Year 9, Welcome back to Term 4. This term we start off with some reading and writing tests. This will show how much you have learnt so far this year. I will give you more details in class. We are then going to do a Cross Curricular project from Week 3. After that, we are going to concentrate on research skills. Exciting times!

Kia Ora Year 9, until the end of the term, we are going to be working on RESEARCH SKILLS. You will learn about skimming, scanning, using keywords, and how to get the most out of internet searches. You will also be completing a research task as well as learning a bit more about the dark side of internet use.

Kia Ora Year 11, this week, we will recap the skills of skimming and scanning that were learnt last week. We are then going to move on to note-taking skills - please see a copy of the slides below- you have yours in your Google Drive. The next part of our learning is practising the 4 Rs of paraphrasing.
