Dear Families, ππβ¨
In our classroom, each student has a yellow folder π that travels between home π‘ and school π« every single day! This folder has two labeled sides: "Keep at Home" and Β "Return to School."
The yellow folder is one of our classroom expectations β and has been since the beginning of the school year. It is our main way of communicating with you and keeping you updated on all the wonderful things happening in our classroom! πππ
Inside the folder you may find:
β¨ Classwork to celebrate your studentβs hard work π¨π.
π Permission slips that need to be signed βοΈ and returned π.
π’ Important updates about resources, events, or information.
It is the studentβs responsibility πͺ to:
β Empty the folder each night π.
β Give paperwork to an adult π¨βπ©βπ§.
β Return the folder to school the next day π«.Β
Recently, we have seen an increase in students not emptying and returning their folders, even after a few gentle reminders. We know our students are capable π and responsible π, and we will continue practicing and reinforcing this important life skill at school.
With the help of our AMAZING families ππ, we would love your support in:
π Checking the yellow folder each evening.
π Helping your student empty it.
π Making sure it comes back to school the next day.
This small daily habit builds independence, responsibility, and confidence, and we know our students can do it! ππ
Thank you for always partnering with us and supporting our classroom family π‘π We appreciate you more than you know!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out π§π± We are always happy to help! πβ¨
Warmly,
Jo Tonnesen (Ms. T) π
