Dear Families, 😊

I’m excited to share a few updates for 2nd semester! Your student is enrolled in elective classes this term, and we’ll be using Google Classroom more often. There may be assignments posted there throughout the semester — nothing to worry about; we’ll help every student find and complete their work. 🌟

Here’s what to expect and how you can support your child:

• Chromebook routines 💻

  • Chromebooks will go home in backpacks each day and must be returned to school each morning. 🎒

  • Please make sure the Chromebook is charged overnight so your child is ready for learning. 🔋
    
    

• Checking Google Classroom each evening 📚

  • Each evening, please have your child check Google Classroom for new or upcoming assignments. ✅

  • If an assignment looks too hard, don’t worry — we’ll make modifications so that learning is enjoyable and accessible for every student. Encourage your child to try their best, and please reach out if you or your child need help locating or understanding an assignment. 🤝
    
    

• PE students 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

  • Students enrolled in PE should bring sweats or shorts and a T‑shirt to change into for class and, most importantly, closed toe and closed heel shoes. (no crocks) 👟
    
    

• Class webpage and student work 🖼️

  • We post updates, student artwork, assignments, and special activities on our class webpage. Take a look around our website and find some spectacular student work. 

  • You will always be able to find our page from the school website → click “Staff” → select “Special Education” → click my name to find the same information and student work. 🧭
