Josephine County's largest holiday event, held at Evergreen Federal Bank's Bear Hotel,is the Rogue Winterfest. This year will mark the 21st anniversary of the Rogue Winterfest and will be held from Nov. 30- Dec. 3rd to support the Rogue Valley's mental health organizations: Family Solutions, Kairos, and Options for Southern Oregon. Santa and Mrs.Claus will be there to greet visitors into the Christmas month. There will be caroling, nutcrackers and tree trimming to get you in the holiday spirit!
According to Rogue Winterfest, the 2023 Rogue Winterfest will include the exciting in-person Gala & Grand Auction, featuring a selection of elaborately decorated holiday trees and more. The Virtual Silent Auction offers unique experiences and items for guests to bid for online. Their goal is to raise money to help youth, young adults, adults, and their families with mental health needs in the Rogue Valley. They are hoping to raise $25,000 during this event. Some ways to help donate are small holiday-themed trees, wreaths, swags or decor, artwork, jewelry, or gift certificates to restaurants, wineries, and spas.
In 2021, Rogue Winterfest raised $119,000 at Evergreen's Bear Hotel. Evergreen Federal Bank states, "In a year filled with uncertainty, one thing was for sure; our community came together to help change lives. In 2022, Evergreen Federal Bank helped raise $243,000 for local mental health." “On behalf of Family Solutions, Kairos, and Options for Southern Oregon, we would like to thank Evergreen Federal Bank for their support,” states Rogue Winterfest director Gigi Ashley. “We could not do this without Evergreen’s dedication and generosity.”
Last year marked the 15th consecutive year that Evergreen Federal Bank has sponsored the Rogue Winterfest holiday festival and the tree auction at Evergreen’s Bear Hotel. They have fundraised over $2.5 mil. for mental health services in Southern Oregon while being able to provide positive experiences for their community that they won’t ever forget.
