The Scroll Prezi/Creative Writer
He/HimHello there! My name is Nathaniel. I'm a senior, and this is my third and final year writing for The Scroll. I run the Creative Corner portion and the I, Anonymous column. I mostly do short stories, but I write some articles, too. When I’m not giving my soul to theater, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy playing one of my many instruments, singing, reading and, of course, writing. I'm the author of Sweet Dreams, a YA Fantasy novel, with more on the way. I regularly annoy my friends with crazy stuff and, if you ask any of them, they'll agree.
I hope that you enjoy my writing and, if you have any ideas for short stories or any questions related to The Scroll, then you can email me at n.lee@d7apps.gp.k12.or.us
If you have any questions related to my books or anything like that, email me at lee.nathaniel06@gmail.com
Have a great day!
Scroll Vice President/Journalist
Hey! I am Madison Heth, a senior here at Grants Pass High School. This is my third year with The Scroll, and let me tell you, it has been and IS still amazing. I was introduced to Journalism during my second semester of sophomore year, and let's just say… I’ve loved it! I had never really thought about writing articles before I began class, and it was something that I was surprised to learn I really, REALLY enjoy. I am an all-around writer. I like to expand my areas as I go. You will always find me in my National Days Column, a column I began last year, and I'll admit there are some pretty strange national days out there-- and many wonderful ones, as well. Away from school, I am a dancer-- mainly ballet-- but I also train in and love: jazz, contemporary and hip-hop. I have three cats and a horse.
Being a part of The Scroll has been a great experience for me. We have the most amazing group of people around, so I do not hesitate when saying, "YOU should try it out!" So, if you like writing or are interested in trying Journalism or simply expanding your abilities, then I 100% recommend The Scroll!
My email is always open: m.heth@d7apps.gp.k12.or.us
The Scroll Chief Editor
She/HerHey, loves! I'm Lillie Olson, a senior and editor for The Scroll at Grants Pass High School.
I write occasionally on various topics but mainly I just format, edit the issues and give you polls. Along with this club, I am in the GPHS Marching Band. (A flute, I know, I know. But I promise I don't fit the quiet stereotype).
If you ever need to contact me, please feel free to email me at my school email. I check it almost every day, so I promise not to ignore you.
Keep going. You got it! ♡
The Scroll PR Director
She/TheyHey there! My name's Amber, and I'm a senior here at GPHS. Aside from running The Scroll's Instagram, I tend to write music reviews and an occasional satire or informative piece here and there and even try to throw in some photography. Aside from The Scroll, I'm also the President of our Pride Club and I'm also inducted into our school's Thespian Troupe. Outside of school, you'll probably find me working in theatre pretty much constantly or just walking around town. If you want to talk about The Scroll, theatre here at the high school, or about anything at all, you can reach me at my email!
Have a good day, lovelies. <3
The Scroll Secretary
She/HerHowdy, my name is Riley! I am a sophomore here at GPHS. I write about whatever random thing that makes my brain excited. Usually, my articles have something to do with art or philosophy. Currently, I am trying to focus more of my articles on local stories. As you might have guessed, not much happens in Grants Pass. That said, if you find a cool (maybe ghostly) story, let me know! Please, there is a startling lack of ghost stories around town.
If you find some mysteries, email me at r.barta@d7apps.gp.k12.or.us
Huzzah!
The Scroll Treasurer
Hello, Scrollers! My name is Karlee. I'm a senior here at Grants Pass High School. I now make Fancast articles. I love the idea of casting people in movies or TV shows in general, so I'm very excited to share all sorts of different genres with you all. You can probably find me being completely fascinated by the school's library or find me with my friends.
If you're bored and want to suggest something or want to talk about anything, then my email is k.cornell1@d7apps.gp.k12.or.us I won't tune you out. I promise.

Hey there! I’m Averie Black, and I am a junior at GP. I've been writing for The Scroll for three years, and I run the "Book Review" column! I mostly read within the YA genre, but my favorite book, Gideon the Ninth, is an actual adult book. When I was little, I had an unhealthy obsession with Percy Jackson, which is what got me into creative writing, and now I'm here. Sometimes, I write opinion and pop culture articles, so keep your eye out for me in there, too!
The Scroll has such a good community and offers so many opportunities I wouldn't have had otherwise. If you have any suggestions, just want to talk, or are itching to know my Goodreads because my book taste is superior— you can hit me up at a.black@d7apps.gp.k12.or.us
Happy reading.

she/herHi, I'm Be. I'm a freshman at GPHS. I will be writing about classes and what's happening in GP. If you have classes you want me to write about or an event going on in Grants Pass, then email me at b.bretko1@d7apps.gp.k12.or.us

They/ThemHi, I'm Ace. I'm a junior at GP and this is my first year writing for The Scroll. I like toxicology and floriography-- the study of poisons and the language of flowers-- so I hope to write articles about the historical uses of poisons and the meanings behind flowers. Apart from a maybe morbid interest, I like to read and draw. My favorite author is F.T. Lukens, and my favorite book is Spellbound, though They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera is a close second.
I get hyper-fixated on little topics sometimes, so I may write one-off articles about cartoons or games that pique my interest. If you have a poison of some sort you'd like me to write about, contact me at l.case@d7apps.gp.k12.or.us.

Salut! I'm Elisabeth. I'm going to turn 19. I am a senior at GPHS and I am a rotary exchange student from Belgium. I speak three languages. My native one is French and I speak Dutch, as well. I have been in the United States since August and I am finally starting to get used to the smell of drugs and the fact that people have guns! My favorite part of America is mac and cheese. I love to write about sports. My favorite ones are soccer and basketball. I did two years of soccer as a goalkeeper and, here, I am in the cheer team.
Psychology Columnist
She/HerHey! My name is Angie, and I'm a sophomore at Grants Pass High School. Since I am passionate about both literature and the human mind, I plan to write about how different things/events in history have been a result of psychology and how psychology connects to the world around us. Away from school, I am a member of the Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon, Color Guard, and I also volunteer at the Josephine County Community Library. I hope my writing can inspire others to delve deeper into psychological topics and that people learn interesting things from my articles.
If you have any questions or ideas for my writings, then you can always contact me through my email: a.dixon1@d7apps.gp.k12.or.us

Hi, guys! My name is Tessa and I’m a junior this year at GPHS. This is my second year writing for The Scroll and I can’t wait to continue writing! When I’m not doing homework (or procrastinating doing homework), I love listening to music, reading, watching shows on Netflix that I make fun of, spending time with my friends, or just hanging out with my pets.

She/HerHi, everyone! My name is Rylie and I am a sophomore at GPHS. This is my second year writing for The Scroll and I am so excited to be a part of this crew once again! When I'm not at school, you can find me auditioning for a play or musical, drawing, writing, or watching a random show and ranting about how stupid it is. You might see me hanging out with my friends around the school, or just generally acting stupid. I enjoy writing almost anything, but I stick to pop culture or things around GP.
If you have any questions, concerns, or article ideas, then shoot me an email at r.revercomb@d7apps.gp.k12.or.us!

Hello! My name is Audrey Roetling (Rhett-ling). I am a sophomore. I love how many opportunities Grants Pass has to offer, so I stay as involved as possible and write about opportunities at the high school to bring awareness about them.
Outside of The Scroll, I am involved in Leadership, National Honors Society, and Project Youth Plus. I am a violinist in the orchestra, a regular member of River Valley’s Youth Group, and a camp counselor through Wilderness Trails. I am the president of GPHS’ Mock Trial team, which is really my favorite hobby, sport, topic of conversation, and season of the year.
If you want to bring attention to any sport, club, competition, bake sale, concert, bringing back the Speech and Debate program (hint, hint; wink, wink), or want information on joining Mock Trial, then feel free (actually feel obligated) to contact me at a.roetling@d7apps.gp.k12.or.us.
