Mrs. Bakersmith is an exceptional teacher who has been teaching Advanced English, Creative Writing, and Mythology at GPHS since 2001. She is passionate about teaching and her favorite part of the job is when students engage in discussions and have those lightbulb moments. It's truly a joy to see the lightbulb turn on when a student grasps a challenging concept. According to students who have taken her class, she is an exceptional teacher who brings enthusiasm and passion to her subject matter. Her teaching style is helpful and she takes the time to explain complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand. It's clear that she genuinely loves what she teaches and her enthusiasm is contagious.

Mr. Yriarte, the dedicated Wellness, Weight Training, and Adaptive PE teacher at GPHS. He has been passionately teaching since 2003 and is highly regarded by his students. Mr. Yriarte's favorite part of teaching is witnessing those moments when his students have a breakthrough where he can see the lightbulb go off and the class comes together in unity. According to the students who have been under his guidance, it is apparent that he is a teacher who genuinely cares for everyone, not just as students but as human beings. He is passionate about helping his students reach their full potential and encourages them to be the best version of themselves. Most importantly, he believes in his students and their capabilities, motivating them to strive for excellence.

Mrs. Mathews is an exceptional teacher who has been inspiring and educating students since 2006. She teaches AP Human Geography, AVID 10, and US History at GPHS.  One of the qualities that makes her stand out is her ability to connect with her students on a personal level. Her favorite part of teaching is getting to know the students and understanding their unique strengths and challenges. She loves to celebrate students' successes and achievements. She is always encouraging them to strive for excellence and reach their full potential. According to her students, she is an energetic and fun teacher who always wears a smile and never exhibits any negative attitude. She may be random at times, but she manages to keep her students engaged with her good sense of humor.

Mrs. Tyrrell, the Journalism and English teacher at GPHS since 2016. She loves her job, she says her favorite part of teaching is the people she gets to interact with every day. She takes pride in helping her students find out who they are and who they want to become. Tyrrell is always grateful for the laughter and positive energy that her students bring to the classroom, making it an enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone. According to her students, she is not only a knowledgeable teacher but also someone with a great sense of humor. Her kindness and compassion towards her students are truly admirable, and she has left a lasting impression on many of them.

Mr. Wooldridge, the Algebra 1 and 2 teacher at GPHS, has been teaching for three and a half years. He says that his favorite aspect of teaching is talking smack to 14-year-olds. Many students who have had him as a teacher describe him as a fun and quirky personality who injects humor and wit into his lessons. Some have even said that he has a talent for making even the driest and most boring material seem interesting and relevant. In his classroom, there is always a lively atmosphere filled with laughter. Whether it is the teacher chuckling at the students or the students giggling at the teacher's corny jokes, there is never a dull moment.
