📋 Stakeholder Feedback should be collected by each teacher every semester they have new students.
💯Grade Posting Due Friday 11:59pm
⚠️ Enter at least a code (TR), if not a grade, for every box for every student, or the grades won’t post.
To ensure you’re seeing all students, including those dropped: when in Gradebook, click the ‘Settings’ gear in the top right corner of the screen. Then, tick the box that says ‘Include Inactive Students’. From there, you should be able to see the dropped students in your Gradebook and enter the TR codes or grades as necessary.
You can verify your grade posting status by going to Reports -> Grades -> Grade Verification Sheets. In that screen, uncheck all the columns you don’t want to see (everything except this quarter) and then check the Citizenship box at the top. Then you can cycle through your courses and see what has been posted.
YIKES! If the posting window is missed, the teacher will need to use the ‘Request Grade Change’ feature in Focus and put in requested changes one student & one course at a time.
NEW STUDENTS If newer students have enrolled within a few weeks of a quarter ending and they come to us without transfer grades, we still are required to enroll them. I always advise them up front that they may not receive a grade without transfer grades and at that point it’s up to the parents to proceed or not. As teachers, it is entirely up to you if that student earns a grade or not. If they come with transfer grades, you will receive an email from their counselor with that information.

📋 At least once per quarter administer the Graduate of Granite Characteristics self-assessment
Student self-assessments provide information as teachers decide and input scores
BE AWARE: 9th & 10th graders will need a 3.0 CPA to walk at graduation!
NOTE: Dependability scores and overall CPA scores will populate once the Use Gradebook button is clicked. If you post early and need to have the dependability score updated at the end of the grading period, you will need to click the Use Gradebook button again, and that will recalculate the entire class.
Remember, ONLY Dependability scores automatically populate based on attendance. The other sections require your professional judgement for a score.
Mass Update button changes default citizenship scores for one characteristic at a time
The score defaults to 3, but you can click the ‘Mass Update’ button, select a characteristic, and select a score you want to mass update to. If the majority of your students have a particular score in a column other than three, this is a much faster way to update those scores, then just change the few scores you need to individually.
TIP! You can use the TAB on your keyboard to go from one score to the next, and use your keyboard to type in a score instead of utilizing the pull-down. You do have to point and click the first box to get started, though.
