Check out the egg Mia found!
Max has this nest under his deck! What do you see inside?
These are the neatest nests! Check out all the different materials your classmates used to make their robin nests! We have such creative kids in our room!
Connor used pipe cleaners and pom poms!
Annalee found some great materials outside to use!
Annie also used some great materials she found outdoors.
Ellie decided her nest was better suited for dragons!
Hadley's nest looks so real it could be used by a real robin!
Landon constructed his nest out of recycled materials! Well done!
Max's nest looks like it would be very comfy for a robin!
Megan used a material that real robins use; sticks!
Mia found a real nest! She also made one out of sticks, grass and straw.
Robyn constructed her nest out of toys!
This nest has the cutest bird I've ever seen!
This week, we are taking a break from spring things to explore shadows!
What is a shadow?
Have you ever noticed your shadow when you are playing outside?
How do you make a shadow?
Check out these great stories and videos all about shadows.
Find a glass and fill it with water. Shine a light from behind the glass. Do you see a shadow?
Now put an empty glass next to the glass with water. Are the shadows different?
Experiment with a few different liquids. What did you discover?
Choose an object that makes an interesting shadow. Trace the shadow on paper. Upload a picture!
Build a structure with blocks, Lego, Duplo, or anything! Trace the shadow that your structure makes and upload a picture!
For this challenge you will need a family member to help you. Make your body into an interesting shape. Ask your familiy to trace your shadow using chalk. Upload a picture!
This challenge needs a few materials; a flashlight, an old CD or DVD and a clear bowl or vase. Fill the vase with water and place the CD inside. Shine the flashlight on the CD and make rainbows! Colour in the rainbows you make using colouring materials and paper! Upload the picture when you're done!
This week we are exploring 3D shapes! These shapes are fat, not flat!

Letters of Love is another amazing example of how our #EML community is coming together to lift the sprits of our senior citizens and front-line healthcare workers.
Here's how the Letter of Loves works:
1. Choose your recipient and address the letter to a friend OR hometown hero
2. Write or draw a card/letter/ or complete some artwork to show our gratitude and love
3. If you have a child in school have them sign their first name and school
4. Submit in public dropbox when done!
