Our Favourites

To get started, we would like to share some great educational apps and games that you can use with your child. Some of these are paid programs that have offered FREE downloads and trials during this time. Here are a few of our favourites!

Teach Your Monster To Read

This is a really great game. It can be accessed online or our can download the app. It starts with very basic phonic activities and builds on, making it a great app for the wide range of skills we see in our kindergarteners.

Login in with your child's first name. Our class has a star code of 5326374. I disabled passwords so you should be able to log in with that field blank.

Raz Kids

Raz Kids is another great literacy based app. I am hoping that we can use it to to replace our reading program for the time being. Our class username is Kinderscott101. Your child's name is their username and their password is the bunny icon.

Dreambox

Signing up for this one is in your court. It is free for parents for 90 days. I found it easier to sign up on the web based version to get the free trial and then download the app. It is a math based game with lots of really great learning activities!

Starfall

Starfall is another great web and app based educational tool. It starts with letters and sounds and builds in many great phonics and reading activities. This one is free to access both through the app store and the web.

TVO mPower

This site was shared as part of the first phase of Learn at Home. It is a great math game with lots of activities. For this one you can sign up as a parent and create a profile for your child.
