We have confirmed that Pearson's grade 8 end-of-year trip will be to Quebec city this year. Here are the details:
The cost for this year's end-of-year Quebec trip is $1515.00.
The trip will take place from Tuesday, June 20th, 2023 to Friday, June 23rd, 2023.
Insurance for trip cancellation is an added cost. ($128.50. An extra charge for insurance was the same in 2019.)
We would like to now confirm participation on the trip with a deposit of $250.00, which is due by Thursday, December 8th, 2022. The deposit should be done through School Cash Online.
The remainder of the trip is divided into two payments:
Friday, February 24th, 2023 - $500.00
Friday, March 24th, 2023 - The remainder of the balance - $715.00 less any fundraising.
A statement will be sent home in advance of the final payment if you participated in fundraising.
Payments will all be made through School Cash Online.
If you would like to participate in the fundraiser, this is how it works:
Mint Smoothies sell for $3.00 each.
They come in bags of 20 Mint Smoothies. ($60.00)
You purchase the Mint Smoothies and sell them to reimburse yourself.
Each Mint Smoothies costs $1.65, so $1.35 is profit toward your Quebec trip. Each bag of 20 reduces your trip by $27.00.
The profits go to your individual trip, not the group.
The Mint Smoothies will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Please bring in your money or cheque (Lester B. Pearson School for the Arts - Mint Smoothie) and we will give you your smoothies. Initially we will limit purchase to 3 bags until we see the demand.
We will also run this fundraiser again in the Spring.
A total of 51 of a possible 56 surveys (91%) were returned. Here is the breakdown of the returned results:

As a result of the survey we will plan for a four day trip to Quebec City to take place from Tuesday, June 20th to Friday June 23rd, 2023.
Details will be sent home later this week about a deposit to confirm participation in the trip.
We have usually done some fundraising to help offset the cost of the trip. This page will be updated when we have details of fundraising events in place. We welcome your ideas!
Please look through the itinerary and explore the links to familiarize your self with what we have done in the past. A survey and the pricing is at the bottom of this option.
