Paragraphing

• Write a topic sentence and a concluding sentence for each paragraph

• Content of the paragraph follows the topic sentence

• Paragraphs are linked together and follow a logical order

Three sample paragraphs due Monday, February 13th, 2023.

• The purpose of this assignment is to check your writing style before you complete the entire essay.

• A good paragraph should have an opening sentence that makes a claim which can be proven, or is a general fact that can be supported.

• All of the following sentences in the paragraph should be related to the opening sentence. (It should not wander to other areas.)

• The opening sentence should not be a specific, stand alone fact.
