I created this slide show for individuals interested in trying out for the Jump Rope Team. Each slide is a video demonstration of tricks required in order to make the team. I felt this would be a useful tool for candidates to refer to when practicing at home.
The Scorekeeper App definitely enhanced student engagement! It was very motivating for players to visually see the leaderboard change throughout the course of the game. This is a wonderful tool for cross-curricular instruction as it incorporates math in the physical education setting.
In the game, "Kick 6", students were challenged to use the inside of their foot to pass the ball toward the cone. If they successfully knocked the dice off the target, they earned that number of points. Students would report their team color & score to the coach who would enter it in the Scorekeeper App. Players enjoyed seeing the leaaderboard change throughout the course of the game.
I created this Google Slide presentation for students, parents, and teachers. It allows teachers and parent volunteers to see the game plan for Field Day so they can fully understand their roles. In the days leading up to the "BIG Event", we reveal it to the students to generate excitement and establish expectations.
I plan to incorporate this playing card randomizer in my upcoming tennis unit which I believe will create 100% student engagement. Last year, I purchased jumbo playing cards which I will use as tokens in this striking game. Students can earn cards by accurately using a short handled implement. If the randomizer stops on a card they have in their deck, they win that round.
