Congrats to the Senior boys baseball team!
The NKEC Sr Boys Baseball Team captured the Western Regional D2 Banner this past weekend. On Friday, the team demonstrated strength at the plate, beating Liverpool 12-4. Relief pitcher Dawson Wellwood was excellent, giving up zero runs in 3+ innings on the mound. In the championship game on Saturday, the Titans defeated a strong Barrington team 5-2. A dominant performance by the starting pitcher Owen Butler included 7 strikeouts, and relief pitcher Ben Croteau closed the game with authority. Players with 3 or more hits over the weekend included: Connor Roswell, Kelton Sanford, Josh Sherrard, Ben Croteau, and Eli Sweeney. Cooper Cox led the team with 5 runs scored. The Titans advance to the Provincial finals in two weeks. Good luck, Titans!
For the first time in a couple of years we have fielded a baseball team. Under the direction of coaches Trevor Butler and Travis Cox the Sr boys look to build on a successful 2024 campaign.
Baseball is a short season that starts in the first week of September and is concluded by the end of October.
