It is important that Learning Support Teachers familiarize themselves with this program. Each teacher will have their own log in and will have access to student files for those students they support. School teams, as well as regional staff members, depend on this system to gather, document and share information.
Student Profile Information includes:
program information

class/student roster information
Student Document Libraries include:
Individual Program Plans (IPP)

TIENET MEETING MINUTES & REFERRALS
Learning Support Teachers are members of school-based Teaching Support Teams and Student Planning Teams. It is common practice that LSTs take meeting minutes during team meetings and record them in TIENET. In addition, any referrals for services that come from these meetings are recorded and sent to the appropriate coordinators/service providers for approval through TIENET.

TIENET SERVICE DATA NOTES
When a Learning Support service (Learning Centre/Resource) is created in TIENET, it is best practice for that teacher to create a service note. It is helpful when the service note indicates the focus of programming, frequency of service and the signature/date of the Learning Support Teacher.
TIENET COMMUNICATION
TIENET also includes a communication system. Staff members use this emailing system to send and receive referral for services information. Staff members have different levels of access to information based on their respective roles.
