Service Canada provides Canadians with access to government services and benefits, including Social Insurance Numbers, Employment Insurance, pensions (CPP and OAS), passports, and disability benefits. It streamlines federal services online, by phone, and in-person at Service Canada Centres nationwide. There is a Service Canada Centre in Bridgewater but we can also connect you with someone directly if you need a Social Insurance Number, for example.
PRO Kids is an amazing program that provides financial assistance to children from the Municipality of Lunenburg who need financial funds to participate in sport, recreation and cultural activities.
SSWAP is a program that assists adults like to get employed and stay employed. The program is free and transportation can be provided.
The South Shore Refugee Project helps sponsor refugee families. Their fundraiser dinners (potlucks) are a great opportunity to meet others, to support the community, and to try different types of meals from around the world.

Adult Learning Opportunities (ALO) is a non-profit organization that provides free education programs to adults in Lunenburg Country
ALO is FREE for adults 18 and over, living in Lunenburg County, who are not currently in school and have a valid SIN.
