Hello, Bonjour, Kwe'!

In our region, there are several supports available for newcomer families. I can connect families with different local service providers, so please feel free to share this website and my contact details with new families. Another important piece of my work is the Parents' Cafes. 

If cultural barriers arise or if there are any questions about communicating with students or families, I’m happy to assist. Additionally, the EAL Team can arrange for interpreters for parent-teacher meetings and other school-related discussions. Each school is also equipped with a Pocket Talk translation device, which is especially useful in emergency situations when quick communication with students or parents is needed. If you have any concerns or need further support, don’t hesitate to reach out!
