On Thursday and Friday, 7–8 May 2026, the Year 4 students embarked on an exciting and enriching school camp at The Highland Park Resort, Bogor, West Java. More than just an outdoor adventure, the camp was carefully designed to provide meaningful opportunities for students to develop essential life skills and deepen their personal growth beyond the classroom.
Throughout the two-day experience, students were encouraged to make responsible decisions, build self-awareness, demonstrate principled behavior, strengthen their organizational and social skills, foster independence, enhance teamwork, and cultivate a strong sense of community. Every activity was intentionally planned to support these learning goals while creating memorable experiences for all participants.
Students enthusiastically took part in a variety of structured indoor and outdoor activities, including team-building challenges, waterfall trekking, water-based games, mindfulness sessions, and a talent show. Each activity presented unique opportunities for students to step out of their comfort zones, collaborate with their peers, solve problems together, and celebrate one another’s strengths and achievements.
The camp provided valuable learning experiences that encouraged students to take greater responsibility for themselves, communicate effectively, and work cooperatively within a team. As they navigated new challenges and experiences, they demonstrated resilience, confidence, and growing independence. The friendships strengthened, lessons learned, and memories created during the camp will undoubtedly contribute to their continued personal development and serve as meaningful foundations for future learning and life experiences.
We are proud of the positive attitudes, enthusiasm, and growth displayed by our Year 4 students throughout the camp, and we look forward to seeing them continue to apply these important skills in their everyday lives.
As part of their final Unit of Inquiry (UOI), the Year 4 students had an exciting opportunity to participate in an educational visit to the MNC TV Animation Studio. This experience was an important component of their transdisciplinary theme, How We Express Ourselves.
The visit provided students with a meaningful, enjoyable, and hands-on learning experience that helped them connect their classroom learning with real-world applications. Through this activity, students gained a deeper understanding of how media can be used creatively to communicate ideas, emotions, messages, and stories to a wider audience.
One of the most exciting experiences for the students was observing the animation production process firsthand. They were able to see how an animated cartoon film is created step by step, including:
Character design
Coloring and illustration
Voice dubbing
Editing and post-production
Witnessing the entire production process inspired and amazed the students, as they discovered that creating an animated film requires collaboration among many professionals, a high level of creativity, and the use of advanced technology.
We are very proud of our Year 4 students for demonstrating enthusiasm, curiosity, and the ability to make meaningful observations and ask thoughtful questions throughout the visit. The educational trip to MNC TV Animation Studio was truly one of the most memorable learning experiences of the semester and a special highlight of their learning journey.
