On January 15, 2026, Year 5 students participated in the Growth and Development Program. The aim of this programme is to inform students and provide them with the opportunity to discuss the physical and psychological changes associated with puberty. These sessions were presented to Year 5 students by facilitators from Jejak Kaki Psychological Development Center, under supervision by the Year 5 teachers and Ibu Ninggar as the Primary School Counselor.
The sessions were focused on several topics. The first session was focused on the physical, emotional, and social aspects of puberty, and how social media affects preteens and teenagers. Another session was focused on personal and other people’s boundaries, and how those affect the interactions we have with others.
The Year 5 students were risk-takers as they participated in activities and discussions throughout the sessions. They were also inquirers when they used knowledge from previous GDP sessions in Year 4 to clarify their understanding and ask questions to confirm it, and comprehend new knowledge.
To celebrate this achievement, Global Jaya held a friendly soccer match with the community we’re working with on Friday, January 23, 2026. Many of the Year 5 students participated in this soccer match. This event was a great opportunity for the students to build relationships with the community around the school. This event also provided them with an opportunity to see how their action affects the community around them.
