In a music lesson focused on folk songs, Hudson’s mother, Ibu. Karyln volunteered to share traditional Philippine music with the class. She explained the history and significance of the chosen folk song, focusing specifically on the meanings of the various vegetables mentioned in the lyrics. To make the experience interactive, she brought the actual vegetables for the students to see. The Reception students were highly engaged, eagerly practicing the pronunciation of the names and even tasting the vegetables Ibu Karyln provided.
As part of the 'How We Organize Ourselves' unit, our Reception students are currently learning about different types of transportation. To demonstrate their understanding, the students collaborated in groups to choose and create models of their favorite vehicles. These works will be proudly displayed in the classroom to celebrate their learning journey.
In the "How We Organize Ourselves" unit, our Reception students built a mini city to explore how transportation works. They designed the roads using play toys and showed great creativity by building various vehicles out of LEGO and recycled cardboard. This hands-on activity helped them understand how a city stays connected while encouraging teamwork and creative problem-solving.
