Indonesian Independence Day Celebration

Hi, My name is Shellya. On celebrating Indonesian Independence Day, Year 4 held some virtual activities such as we gathered in a google meet. The whole year 4 sing the song, Indonesia Raya, altogether. After that, we watched a short video about Indonesia Independence history. Then we go back to each class and celebrate it in each class. We showed our artwork that we made during the day off. Then some of the students showed their performance, such as playing the piano, playing the violin, playing the guitar, singing, and more. Then we played games Kahoot answering questions about Indonesia Independence Day. After we do the Kahoot quiz, we watched another short video and sang together, “Hari Merdeka. We‘re really enjoyed and very enthusiastic about doing the activities.

Base on my experience during the day off of the Indonesia Independence day, I went to my Grandma/Grandpa house to celebrate Independence day. First, our big family gathers together in the house until everyone comes. We eat traditional food from Indonesia, and because our country flag is Red and White, we wear Red and White Shirts, clothes, and pants. Then we do different types of competition that we usually do during the Indonesia Independence day, such as swimming, eating krupuk without touching the food, and more. And everyone wins and gets a present for wining. And we can also decorate the place by using the flag, chairs, and more decorations base one the country and flag.
