Dear Parents,
Thank you so much for supporting us throughout our first four weeks of the school year. As you might be aware, Year 3 students have just changed their learning platform from Seesaw (that they used when they were in Year 2) to Google Classroom. So, we did experience some glitches during the first weeks of the school year, as we re-establish our classroom routines. We understand that it is a constant process of learning, so again, we thank you so much for your understanding and flexibility and for giving ongoing support to your child throughout this process.
We also have noticed that fewer students are finding it difficult to come on time to their Google Meet sessions. As has been said before, it is important to establish and keep your child’s routine as close to the daily schedule as possible so they can be ready when they return back to face to face school time. Developing routines, such as asking them to prepare themselves before school (e.g taking a bath, getting dressed, having breakfast, checking their schedule and preparing everything needed for their school), and encouraging them to take ownership of these tasks, will in the long run help them develop independence and decision making skills.
Indonesian Independence Day Celebration
Other highlights that we would like to share with you was our Year 3 celebration Indonesian Independence Day. Although we did all the activities online, Year 3 students were still having fun. They were involved in several activities such as playing traditional games, creating a poem and drawing, and also learning about the history of Indonesian independence through a presentation. To add to the fun, students received 5-10 house points when they participated in these activities. Even online, it was clear that students really enjoyed our Independence Day celebration. Below are some pictures that we would like to share with you
