As we approach the end of the Holy Month of Ramadhan and, with it, the Idul Fitri holiday, on behalf of the entire Secondary faculty, we wish you a safe, healthy, and joyous break with family, friends, and loved ones. The last several weeks have been busy in the Secondary division at GJS and we look forward to an equally busy and eventful final push to the end of the year following our return to school in May. In the meantime, we wish our Year 12 students all the best as they prepare for and begin their DP exams at the end of this month.
One major piece of the puzzle for next school year, which launched today, is the subject selection form for students who will be in Years 9 & 10 for the 2023-2024 school year. The form was also shared via ManageBac and parent communication channels through our Community Liaison office and will be shared in tomorrow’s student bulletin. Please read the instructions carefully before completing and submitting the form. Any questions can be directed to Ibu Dani, MYP Coordinator.
Upon our return, we will have only six weeks of school left. In that time, we will celebrate learning through the Math and Design Exhibition, the Arts Expo, Global History Day, the Year 11 Group 4 Project, Sport awards, our end of year Global Awards Assembly and many other events big, small, and every size in between. In addition to the Group 4 Project, Year 11 students will sit for end of year assessments on 15-17 May. Be on the lookout for more information about end of year activities as we draw closer to June.
