Dear Parents,
Warm Greetings! As we reflect on the events of the past few weeks, we are delighted to share with you some of the highlights that have taken place at our school.
The convergence of Nyepi, Ramadhan, and Holy Week within the same month held special significance. It presented us with valuable opportunity for our students to learn and appreciate different faiths and customs. Nyepi was celebrated in the form of a performance by parents and students with great enthusiasm. Holy Week allowed some of us to spend time with our families and for others to reflect on new beginnings. The start of the Holy month of Ramadhan has allowed us to reflect and focus on forgiveness, empathy and reflection.
We bore witness to numerous instances of care and consideration among our students and parents. Many students have been observed looking after each other, showing empathy and support towards their peers who may be observing the fast. Parents have graciously contributed towards supporting our support staff. It is heartwarming to see our community demonstrate values of empathy, respect, and inclusivity by showing concern and fostering a sense of community during the fasting month of Ramadhan.
This week our school was involved in the WASC and IB accreditation. As a school, we have been preparing for this visit for over a year. The accreditation process that involved teachers, students, parents and the board has helped us reflect on areas of strength and growth; a testament to our dedication to providing a high-quality education that meets rigorous international standards. We are extremely proud of the way our students interacted with the visitors. We look forward to sharing their feedback with the wider community soon.
Our school also actively participated in World Water Week, a global campaign that aims to raise awareness about the importance of water conservation and sustainability. Led by the Environmental Committee, our students took part in various activities such as workshops, discussions, and community initiatives to promote responsible water usage and conservation efforts. Thank you for all your efforts and support. We raised IDR 11,076,400 for the Spirit Day.
Also, in line with our commitment to environmental stewardship, we conducted an e-waste campaign, encouraging our community to contribute to our e-waste collection. If you have any electronics (appliances, wires, plugs etc.) that are broken or you need to dispose of, please consider this campaign. The e-waste collection boxes are located at the East and West gates.
As we approach the Idul Fitri break, allow us to extend our sincere apology for all mistakes that we might have made in our interaction with our school community. Mohon maaf lahir dan batin. We wish those who celebrate, a very happy Idul Fitri!
Kind regards,
Ibu Lavesa and Ibu Dewi
