Feel free to email any evidence of your children having fun during their learning at home PE lessons to the PE department. We would LOVE to see the GES students being healthy, physically active having fun whilst at home!

Building on the video & skills from Tuesday, create a little obstacle course in your house or garden that involves steps, hopping and/or jumping over the obstacles.

FIRST NAME - MIDDLE NAME(S) - SURNAME

FOR EXAMPLE:

SAM = 30 crunches, 10 Burpees and 45 Seconds Plank

Activity - gross motor skills - Stepping, jumping off and landing and balancing.

You will need -

1. An unobstructed and safe area

2. A small step (inside or out), some shoes or small objects to jump over and a towel folded length ways.

3. Lots of energy

It's really important that you keep active and healthy at home, but also make sure you are having lots of fun!

Tuesday 17th March Lesson 1 - MUSIC CHALLENGE

Play each of the songs using youtube, apple music or Spotify and complete the chosen exercise for the duration of the song.

  1. Shakira - Try Everything = Star Jumps

  2. Hercules - ZERO to HERO = Jogging on the spot

  3. Tones and I - Dance Monkey = Monkey walks/Bear Crawl

  4. Moana - You're Welcome = Pencil jumps

  5. Choose your favourite song = Choose your own exercise

Friday 20th March Lesson 2 - MOVING AND STRETCHING

  1. Use your favourite song from lesson 1 to choose as your warm up and complete the matching exercise

  2. Complete the Cosmic Kids Yoga video

  3. Now your muscles are really warm practice balancing for 10 seconds without moving in your 3 favourite yoga poses from the image below.
