You will be paid your normal hosting rate (with your $25 tab) plus a $20 bonus for training a new QM.
The bonus will be paid after we receive the Trainee Feedback Form.
The Feedback Form is due 24 hours from the start of quiz, as is your post-quiz report. Feedback will be shared with the trainee, so make sure you are constructive in your criticism.
DO NOT have the trainee post the quiz report - that is still your job.

Expectations for Training Nights 1 and 2
The Recruiting and Training Team is responsible for scheduling all trainees for live, in-venue training. That scheduling process includes checking for venue cancellations, substitutions (we prefer not to send trainees to substitutes), any other recent trainings at the same venue or with the same trainer, and any other factors.
The training team DOES NOT check with each trainer prior to sending the training schedule to the trainee and each of the trainers. If there is an issue with the schedule for the trainer - e.g. QFAC or substitution that we missed, birthday quiz, etc. - please let the training team know. About 99% of the time the training team can and will reschedule that training.
For any in-venue training, new hires are instructed to do the following:
Arrive 30 minutes before quiz start time
Bring laptop and laptop charger/power cable
Download & prep the quiz, including a playlist for R2
Be prepared to run DAS for the whole quiz
Be prepared to read at least two rounds, including answers
If your trainee arrives at your venue and did not bring their laptop, tell them to go home. Email the Training team (recruiting@geekswhodrink.com) to let them know the trainee was dismissed for being unprepared. If they show up with their laptop but did not prepare the materials, let us know in the feedback form, but have them stick around to help run quiz.
Please coordinate with the trainee if they'll need to plan on arriving earlier, if the parking situation is tricky, or if there's any other information you think they'll need regarding the venue/location.
Please email your trainee your sub instructions if you're the night two trainer. They should do as much set-up as possible - including snagging prizes - with as little assistance as possible.
Your trainee should present at least two rounds, and no more than three rounds - typically, they will choose from rounds 3, 4, and 6. This includes reading the answers and handing out the bonus prizes for those rounds!
Your trainee should run DAS for the whole quiz. Make sure they're turning on the Interstitial Slides during breaks.
Check that your trainee has set up Round 2 correctly and note that in your feedback. They'll be running Round 2 on their second night of training, unless the instructions from the QM Trainer specified otherwise.
Your trainee should present at least three rounds, and no more than four rounds - two of these rounds must be rounds 2 and 5. This includes reading the answers and handing out the bonus prizes for those rounds! If Round 5 is a VIDEO or FLAT round, make sure the trainee knows to look at the Host Notes section to grab the BITLY link.
Your trainee should run DAS for the whole quiz. Make sure they're turning on the Interstitial Slides during breaks.
