Being a good quizmaster (QM) or bingo caller (BC) isn’t rocket science, but there’s a lot to know, remember, and accomplish during a two-hour event. Not everyone can do this job. You’re part of an elite corps of dorks. A good host keeps the show moving and knows the line between witty banter and self-indulgent vamping. As charming and as brilliant as we might fancy ourselves, the truth is that teams come to play quiz and music bingo, and not to listen to our tight five. That said, when our shtick is good (read: funny) it enhances the event and makes people feel at home. This handbook is a guide to making that happen.
