Students investigate a topic of personal interest, formulate a research question and conduct in-depth analysis using academic sources. The process develops skills in: critical thinking, organization, and formal writing, providing excellent preparation for university-level research. Students are supported by a supervisor who offers guidance throughout the research and writing process.
Theory of Knowledge (TOK) challenges students to reflect on the nature of knowledge and how we acquire it. This interdisciplinary course explores questions related to evidence, certainty, and truth across areas of knowledge such as science, history, and ethics. Through discussions, essays, and presentations, students evaluate perspectives and develop critical thinking skills. TOK emphasizes self-awareness, open-mindedness, and the ability to question assumptions, forming the foundation of the IB Diploma Programme.
Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) is a core component of the IB Diploma Programme that encourages personal growth and reflection. Students engage in creative pursuits, physical activities, and community service projects, fostering teamwork, resilience, and global citizenship. CAS emphasizes experiential learning and challenges students to set goals, plan projects, and reflect on their experiences. This program supports holistic development and complements the academic demands of the IB curriculum.
